Advertising yourself is crucial to getting a job in advertising. Think of yourself as a new product/service and the ad agency as the end consumer. How can you make yourself stand out from other creatives? It’s important you show off who you are, your skills and passions to creative directors.
Thankfully my course include this as part of my course and now we have begun a self-promotion brief. A personal logo is at the top of the list. My first step was to create a mind-map of all the things that inspire me and initial ideas for my logo. After dozens of designs, me and my tutor have decided that this is my best outcome.
This orange is my favourite colour so was the obvious choice, I think it works well. The only problem now is deciding on a font for my name that I like yet also compliments the circle symbol. The font in these mock-ups are too light, making it difficult to read especially for a business card.
