I’m in love.
JR Schmidt created these magical posters using the Processing program. This program is previously unknown to me but the website describes it as “An open source programming language and environment for people who want to create images, animations, and interactions.”
The artist explains the process behind his art –
“The script I wrote generates gravity fields based on user input and then spawns particles that draw and change color as they move across the canvas.”
I think it’s wonderful that through this program, artists can defy convention and code can become digital art. The colours in particular add to the enchanting feel.
